Welcome to this weeks neighborhood minute! Today we’re in Southwest Lubbock at one of my favorite neighborhoods, Stonegate. This community is located just west of Frankford Ave and goes all the way to Iola ave, and starts about 73rd st and heads north up to the service road for south Loop 289/the spur.
This area was primarily developed in the 80’s and is within walking distance to two local schools. This neighborhood is in the Frenship Independent School district and feeds into Crestview Elementary School, Heritage Middle School, and will be zoned for the new Memorial High School come August 2025. Heritage and Crestview are both within walking distance from this neighborhood perfect for families who need their children to walk to and from school sometimes.
Many people love this area because it is a GREAT starter home area, or investment property area. Home values currently start around the upper $100,000’s and can go all the way up to the upper $200,000’s at this time of research.
