Neighborhood Minute- Bacon Crest

Welcome to Bacon Crest! Our hope with these blog posts is to give you a short synopses of a local Lubbock or Plainview neighborhood. Today we are in Southwest Lubbock visiting Bacon Crest, which is located right off of Milwaukee Ave and 82nd street.

This area is a part of the Frenship Independ School District, and is right up the street from both Crestview Elementary and Heritage Middle school, both of which feed into Frenship High School.

Bacon Crest, though still developing at this time, started building on lots around 2010, and was even a location for the 2013 Parade of Homes. Neighborhood Minute- Melonie Gardens

Welcome to Melonie Gardens! Our hope with these blog posts is to give you a short synopses of a local Lubbock or Plainview neighborhood. Today we are taking a small stroll through Melonie Gardens! Melonie Gardens is located just North of 82nd st, and East of Indiana Ave, and was developed mostly in the 70’s.

Melonie Gardens is located in the Lubbock Independent School District, and is developed just up the street from Waters Elementary, which feeds into Evans Middle School, and Monterey High School, Home of the Plainsmen.

Homes in this area are known for their incredible craftsmanship, and due to the age of the area the incredible trees that are hard to find on the south plains. Neighborhood Minute- Cantera

Welcome to Cantera! Our hope with these short synopses is to give a brief look at local areas around Lubbock and Plainview! Today we’re in North Lubbock looking at Cantera, or also known as Wilshire Estates. This quaint gated neighborhood is only a couple of blocks large, but features many great builders, garden homes and single family homes, and a cozy environment for its residents. This area is located just Northeast of Erskine and Milwaukee ave, with convenience to Texas tech, the medical district, and west end shopping. Cantera is located in the Frenship independent school district and features Legacy elementary, Terra Vista Middle school and Frenship High School. If this neighborhood sounds familiar it’s likely because it was a location for the 2020 Parade of homes, and has had more developing activity in the last few years. Neighborhood Minute- Ravenwood

Welcome to Ravenwood! Our hope with these short synopsis’s is to give you a brief look at local areas around Lubbock & Plainview. Ravenwood is located in Lubbock, Texas, southwest of town off of 105th st, and Quaker Ave. Most people know Ravenwood to be a safe neighborhood, with minimal entrances, and many culs-de-sacs, making it a “road less traveled” for sure.

This neighborhood features a Home Owners Association, has a lake, a park, mutiple pergolas, and a cozy fireplace just begging for residents to gather round.

Ravenwood is the Cooper Independent School District, and feeds into Cooper Central Elementary, Laura Bush Middle School, and Cooper High School. These custom built homes were mainly built between 2005-2012, with home values starting around the low $300K’s, and go all the way up to the mid $500’s at the time of our research. Welcome to Meadows South! Our hope with these short synopsis’s is to give you a brief look at local areas around Lubbock & Plainview. Meadows South is nestled between frankford and Slide, just south of 98th st, and is known for its quiet streets, and cozy culs-de-sacs.

This neighborhood is located in the Cooper Independent School District and features Cooper West Elementary, Laura Bush Middle School, and Cooper High School.

Most of the homes in this neighborhood were built between 2000-2015, and home values in the area star about $150,000, and go all the way up to about $250,000 at the time of our research. Neighborhood Minute- Orchard Park

Welcome to Orchard Park! Our hope with these short synopsis’s is to give you a brief look at local areas around Lubbock & Plainview. Orchard Park is located in Lubbock, Texas just off of 114th and Quaker ave. Orchard Park is one of Lubbock’s most prestigious neighborhoods, and was built on the site of an old pecan orchard. Orchard park maintains the feel of the orchard with its pecan tree lined streets.

Orchard Parkk is located in the Cooper Independent School District featuring Cooper Central Elementary, Laura Bush Middle School, and Cooper High School.

Orchard Park has been home to multiple West Texas Home Builders Parade of Homes, and this great community is represented by a first class Home Owners Association, and meticulously cared for. Home values in this area start about low $500,00’s and go all the way up to well over a million at the time of our research. Regal Park is Located in Lubbock Texas, just south of 82nd st, and west of Frankford Ave, and is known and loved for its quiet culs-de-sacs, tree lined streets, and family feel.

Regal Park in centered around Randy Naugebaur Park, and is in the Frenship Independent School District, featuring Crestview Elementary, Heritage Middle School, and Frenship High School

Most homes in this area were built in the 90’s, and are really well loved for their walking trails, close proximity to shopping and many well known restaurants in southwest Lubbock. Neighborhood Minute- Lion Country Estates

Welcome to Lion County Estates! Our hope with these short synopsis’s is to give you a brief look at local areas around Lubbock & Plainview. Lion Country Estates is an incredible neighborhood about 3 miles north of the north loop, on University Ave, and feeds into New Deal ISD, which is one of the top 100 school districts in the state!

The lots in this area are 1/2 acre to 1 acre lots, and feature high end custom homes, and is currently still growing.

Many folks love Lion County Estates because of its lower taxes, quiet country feel, and large lots.
